Top 10 TV Shows Blogfest

Thanks to Alex J. Cavanaugh for hosting the Top 10 TV Shows Blogfest.  His Top 10 Movies was an awesome fest, and this one will likely be just as fun!

It's very difficult to choose only 10 TV shows because there are soooo many I like/have liked over the years. But these are some of my absolute faves (in no particular order):

Sliders

Stargate SG 1/Stargate Atlantis/Stargate Universe (I know it's 3 shows, but I'm lumping them together)

Star Trek Voyager (Because I love Janeway)

Big Bang Theory (Brilliant genius writing)

Battlestar Galactica (the new one, not the old one)

Monk

The Closer

Eureka

M*A*S*H

That 70's Show

Cheers

#11 Bonus!  Warehouse 13

That's my Top 11 (which would likely change depending on what day you ask). Now go check out the rest of the entries at Alex's site!

I forgot about that 70's Show and Monk. Both were funny and "mind-numbing entertainment."

We have so many in common! And you're the only other person to pick Eureka. Damn good show! And I almost selected Warehouse 13. Just too many. Thanks for participating!

I love The Closer. And Big Bang Theory. And I was just thinking about Sliders. I need to find that on DVD...

MONK! I totally forgot about Monk! But who doesn't love the overlap of OCD and crime solving?! Great list!

Yes!! I loved Sliders! Man, haven't thought of that show in forever. Was super bummed when it got cancelled. Love MASH, Eureka, Star Trek, Stargates, and MONK too! Really enjoyed this season of The Closer too. It had lost me for a while, but I'm liking it again!

Ahhh yes Stargate... except for Universe, I'm still on the fence for that one. BSG is pretty good though.

I watched Big Bang Theory tonight, for the first time, since I've seen it mentioned in many lists today, and because I used to study that kind of things, I mean physics. Cool series, but theoretical physics is even more fun >:)

I knew Mash and Cheers, did you know that in Malaga Spain they have a replica bar to Cheers, my son took me when I lived there.
Love your presentation.

Hi Mara - I still love the Closer. "Thank you so much." It was on my list too, but top 10 was tough.

Love your list! For me Big Bang Theory and Eureka were so close to making the list. I can't believe I completely forgot about MASH!

I love that you added a bonus to your list! I should have done that. Or maybe not because I would have included a ton of "bonus" shows. I've seen "Big Bang Theory" on enough blogs now that I'm going to be checking it out this week. Apparently, I've been missing out!

I have seen Sliders around the blogosphere and I feel silly, but I'm not sure what this show is... hmmm, you tube, here we come!

i think Voyager was the best of the Star Treks.

Oh, so many kindred TV spirits!

I adore Warehouse 13, I'm so glad to see someone mention it!

If there's one thing this blogfest has shown me it's that I don't know much about TV programs. Haven't seen any on your list.

The BIG BANG THEORY and THE CLOSER are two that almost made my list. I have seen and enjoyed most of the shows on your list. :)

Oooh, I'm no good at this, I've heard of a few of those, but don't watch TV, unless it's Dragon Tales or Little Einsteins with my 3 yr old. :)

Terresa - I remember the days of only ever watching kid's shows. Little Bear, Blue's Clues, Winnie the Pooh. I still get nauseous watching Little Bear because I watched it with my son while I was pregnant with my daughter and I associate the nausea of morning sickness with poor Little Bear!

The first season of Sliders was sheer genius but then it slid downhill after that (excuse the awful pun).

Great list!

I think you and me are the only ones who put SLIDERS in their lists :) Love VOYAGER too (but for Seven of Nine :))

DEZMOND said...

forgot to add that I think SLIDERS were much better after the first season, when Cari Wuhrer joined the show, the stories got more exciting and diverse and SLIDERS stopped being boring.

Cheers almost made my list. Have saw Big Bang Theory on a few lists.

Oh, these are all so good! Loved Eureka. Hard to believe it's been going for almost five years now. I still think of it as a new show :)

Great choices, I see there's a lot of crime here! Crime TV is way fun if it's done right :-)

I found your blog going down the list for the great blog experiment.

I loved Battlestar Galactica! Great show!

Ishta Mercurio said...

Oh, cheers! And The Closer! Good choices. And I agree about MASH.

I wish this had been a"Top 20" list - there are so many others that I would have included, but didn't have room for.

This whole list in a word, awesome. BSG, SG1, Star trek of any kind, eureka, warehous 13...so many good shows!

The Man-Cave said...

I know this is rare, but I actually like the old and the new BSG for what they are. And the fact they are totally different projects with different agendas.

So many people tell me to try Warehouse 13, so I should at some point. And Monk is great, but I stopped watching around the time Sharona left. Good list!!
