I've been a bit neglectful of my little bloggy space here on the internet because I'm deep into what I hope will be the final revision of my novel. I added a new Chapter One because, as I noted in my previous post, the existing Chapter One was a dud. I'm hoping the new Chapter One is much better. Of course, the new stuff I wrote means there are repercussions now that need to ripple through the rest of the novel. That's what I'm working on now - the ripples. That, and the comments I got from betas.But I swear, this is so the last time I'm going through this novel until I go through it again at the behest of an editor after I have an agent!
Come the first of November I'll be sending out queries. No. Matter. What.

Yay! Congrats on almost being done with revisions! You'll have to celebrate, especially after you send out queries, too! Good luck :)

Oh yeah. Somewhere around the 3-4th draft the shiny has worn off, the hell has seeped in, and the notion of torching the whole thing and doing a tribal dance around its falling ashes seems the only reasonable solution.
Pull on those fire-proof waders, slog through the lava and make it the best novel you can.
Know that plenty of us are trudging through Revision Hell along side you.

That's awesome that you were able rewrite chapter one. You must be excited not to look at the rough draft again, I know I would be, I'm bored of my story from having written it for so long :P. Good luck!
